About The Role
The Publishing Coordinator provides effective and efficient administrative support for the smooth running of the RIBA Publishing and Learning Content department.
This includes assisting the Director of Publishing & Learning Content with general administration, special projects and processing and tracking of invoices.
The coordinator works closely with the Books & Learning Content team supporting the creation and programming of CPD and Professional Events content, reviewing draft and completed book manuscripts and checking image and text permissions.
They also aid with cover for the digital production of the journal, uploading articles to the content management system.
The role also involves supporting the delivery of professional events and conferences, attending production and proposal meetings, and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Essential
* Excellent writing skills with a particular eye for detail for checking learning content.
* A working knowledge of clearing image and text permission for publication.
* Experience in financial administration, such as purchase orders and tracking budgets.
* Requires excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
* A knowledge of design or the architectural sector. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* A team player with initiative, who is willing to collaborate and learn.
Desirable
* Experience in an administrative role. Experience uploading content to a CMS.
* Experience providing administrative or operational support for events.
* Experience tracking budgets, processing invoices, or reconciling financial records.
* Experience compiling reports, analysing engagement data, or tracking KPIs.
