As a member of Liverpool Carers Centre team, you will work with unpaid carers to support them to access practical and emotional support.
As Carers Centre Administrator, you will ensure the service receives efficient, effective and responsive administrative support

Scope of Role:
1. Provide efficient, accurate and timely administrative support to the Carers Centre service.
2. Develop and maintain office systems that improve efficiency, quality of recording and overall service delivery.
3. Take a proactive lead in identifying issues and implementing solutions to improve ways of working.
4. Operate key office processes, including opening and distributing post, taking messages, room bookings, and staff movement.
5. In agreement with the appropriate manager, ensure the service has the stationery and supplies required.
6. Use strong communication and people skills to support carers and work effectively with colleagues and partners.
7. Support carers to access the most appropriate resources to help them in their caring role.
8. Build positive working relationships with the wider Carers Centre team, contributing to day-to-day service support.
Accountable for:
9. Developing and sustaining systems that support the referral process.
10. Providing advice, guidance and practical support to carers, in line with service procedures
11. Acting as a key point of contact for the Carers Centre (phone, email and in person as required).
Key responsibilities
12. Work with the Carers team to raise awareness of support available to carers.
13. Manage and implement referral pathways, receiving referrals internally and externally.
14. Support and participate in events and activities that provide information and support to carers.
15. Manage social media platforms to promote activities, information and advice available to carers.
16. Undertake other tasks that support this area of work, as agreed with the manager
General Skills and Experience:
17. Experience of supporting unpaid carers or working with people.
18. An awareness of the needs of unpaid carers.
19. Experience of working as part of a team with the ability to prioritise own workload
20. Knowledge in the use of Microsoft office, Outlook and Excel
21. Attendance at evening or weekend events as required
22. The successful candidate will require an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Check and undertake mandatory training as well as safeguarding training as appropriate for the role.
