THE COMPANY
Join a well-established motor trade business in Burntwood! With a strong local presence and a supportive team, we’re looking for an Accounts Apprentice ready to kickstart their career in finance. No two days are the same, and you’ll gain hands-on experience while developing your accounting skills.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Accountant, you’ll get practical experience in the accounts department. Key tasks include:
• Posting daily card and cash banking, and reconciling petty cash.
• Preparing bank statements and month-end bank reconciliations.
• Running debtor reports and liaising with department managers to resolve outstanding debts.
• Raising, processing, and authorising payments in line with company policy.
• Supporting the team with ad hoc finance duties.
REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a keen interest in accounts and finance.
• Is IT confident, especially with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Is organised, detail-oriented, and can prioritise tasks.
• Is proactive, enthusiastic, and enjoys working in a team.
• This is ideal for school leavers, graduates, or anyone looking for hands-on experience in finance.
No prior motor trade experience? No problem – full training is provided.
