One Property Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established and growing property management company based in Chipstead, Surrey, which is seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join its finance team of four. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident service charge professional to take ownership of a portfolio within a supportive, collaborative environment that values accuracy, professionalism, and long-term development.
The role offers hybrid working and would suit someone looking to step into a stable position with responsibility, autonomy, and progression.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and production of annual service charge accounts in line with lease agreements
Managing service charge budgets and forecasts alongside property management teams
Issuing service charge demands and balancing charges
Processing and accurately coding supplier invoices
Managing client and service charge bank reconciliations
Handling leaseholder queries relating to service charge accounts
Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practice
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
Working closely with property managers and internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Service Charge Accountant
Strong working knowledge of MRI/Qube (essential)
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
Organised, proactive, and able to manage workloads effectively
A team-focused approach with strong communication skills
Salary & Benefits
Salary of £45,000+ depending on experience
