Responsibilities
* Ensure patients are scheduled within RTT national guidelines and that referrals are actioned into the correct waiting lists.
* Check utilisation of clinics, contact patients to reduce no‑show rates using trust software.
* Coordinate clinic activity, manage clinic templates, and support the smooth running of Diabetes and Endocrinology clinics.
* Use Choose and Book and EPRO to enable appointment booking and complete outcomes on InTouch following the trust’s outpatient booking model.
* Maintain accurate waiting lists to enable partial booking and meet RTT targets.
* Monitor data quality when transferring patients between waiting lists and manage extensions of clinic dates, alongside suspensions and cancellations.
* Utilise clinic slots and reduce DNA rates using the trust’s predictor software.
* Work independently with minimal supervision, organised, effective and efficient.
* Liaise with colleagues and other service users to ensure adequate resources and manage telephone and email enquiries.
* Communicate effectively, written and verbally, with staff, patients and relatives.
Key Requirements
* Outstanding organisational and communication skills; excellent telephone etiquette.
* Experience working under pressure, meeting deadlines and a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to maintain accurate waiting lists and consistently follow administration processes to meet hospital and external agency targets.
* Experience with outpatient systems such as Choose and Book, EPRO, InTouch and predictor software is desirable.
* Ability to work effectively within a small administration team.
