£28,800 per annum
Are you an experienced telephone-based customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced contact centre environment? We are recruiting for a prestigious company that places customers at the centre of everything they do.
Please note: This role requires a minimum of 2 years' recent telephone-based customer service experience. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
The Role
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will play a key role within Customer Operations, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and supporting both team performance and customer outcomes.
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:
* Handle a high volume of inbound telephone calls, confidently managing complex queries and escalations
* Investigate and resolve complaints (verbal and written) in line with internal policies and FCA guidelines
* Support Team Leaders in identifying service improvements and enhancing the customer journey
* Deliver short coaching sessions to colleagues to improve performance
* Analyse KPIs and OPIs to drive continuous improvement
* Champion a customer-first culture across the team
To be considered for this Customer Service Specialist role you must have:
* Minimum 2 years' telephone-based customer service experience (contact centre or similar high-volume call environment)
* Proven experience handling complaints and escalations professionally
* Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone
* A consistent employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment
Customer Service Specialist additional Skills & Experience
* Experience within a regulated environment (preferred)
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
* Willingness to complete compliance training (FCA, DPA, AML, Anti-Bribery)
