About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and resilient Teacher to join an Alternative Provision setting in Ormskirk, working with pupils in Years 10 and 11.
This is a varied role, delivering English, PSHE, Drama, and general cover lessons to students who may be disengaged from mainstream education. You'll play a key role in rebuilding confidence, supporting behaviour, and helping pupils achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and adaptable lessons across English, PSHE, Drama, and general subjects
* Differentiate teaching to meet a range of needs, including SEMH
* Manage behaviour effectively and create a calm, supportive environment
* Track and monitor pupil progress
* Build strong relationships to support engagement and wellbeing
* Work closely with staff, families, and external professionals
What We're Looking For
* QTS (or equivalent) - unqualified teachers with relevant experience considered
* Experience teaching at secondary level (KS4 desirable)
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Experience with SEMH or Alternative Provision (desirable)
* A flexible, patient, and resilient approach
* Passion for supporting young people who need additional support
