Job Details Salary: £180,880
Position: Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Private inpatient mental health hospital
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Responsibilities
Lead development and delivery of new CAMHS inpatient service
Act as Responsible Clinician overseeing patient care and treatment planning
Assess and manage complex CAMHS cases across inpatient settings
Chair MDT and CPA meetings, ensuring collaborative care planning
Provide clinical leadership alongside Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical governance frameworks
Contribute to service development, audit, teaching, and research activities
Qualifications
Full GMC registration with Specialist Register inclusion
Approved Clinician status & S12 desired
Significant CAMHS inpatient or community experience
Previous substantive Consultant-level experience
Understanding of MHA, MCA, and clinical governance frameworks
