Day Production Supervisor
Hours: 6am – 4pm; Location: Penmaenmawr; Salary: £15.17 - £15.41ph

What You’ll Be Doing
As our Day Production Supervisor, you’ll ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Quarry during your shift. Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll lead teams, maintain high standards, and keep the site running efficiently and safely.
Health & Safety Leadership
* Ensure full compliance with statutory legislation and company SHE policies
* Lead by example in safe working practices and PPE use
* Hold the Section 8(1)(d) appointment under the Quarries Regulations 1999
* Conduct daily inspections and support weekly geotechnical checks
* Oversee contractor activities and ensure they follow agreed method statements and safe systems of work
Quality & Customer Service
* Ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards
* Work collaboratively with customers, Trading, and Premix teams
* Promote the benefits of Heidelberg Materials products and services
* Represent the site professionally with all visitors
Operational & People Management
* Support purchasing of materials, equipment, and services
* Maintain accurate maintenance, production, and breakdown records
* Assist with month‑end reporting and stock returns
* Communicate effectively with employees and management, flagging any staffing or operational concerns
* Support training, inductions, and development for team members
* Maintain site housekeeping and positive relationships with neighbours
What You’ll Need
Essential
* Current First Aid Certificate
* IQ DAPS Qualification
Desirable (or willingness to achieve once in role)
* NVQ Level 4 Health & Safety and Environmental Management in Quarries
