We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Streetlighting Operative to join our dynamic Norfolk team at our Brooke Depot (NR15 1HJ). This role will be carried out around Norfolk.
In this role, you will support the Norfolk Streetlighting account by carrying out regular inspections and maintenance of streetlights to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely. This involves identifying and addressing any damage or hazards that could compromise performance, cleaning equipment, and performing necessary repairs.
Alongside carrying out routine activities for the annual service plan as required, this role will also include working with the lorry loader team to replace or install new street lighting furniture, either as part of our reactive maintenance activities or on new works.
What You'll Do:
Participate in Amey's Annual Service Plan with Norfolk Council, ensuring streetlights are efficient and safe through maintenance and inspections, collaborating with various departments.
Carry out routine maintenance and fault repair, including cleaning and changing lanterns and sign poles.
Excavate for column, bollard, and sign foundations, and clean signs and bollards.
Complete daily work records and risk assessments and perform high-demand physical tasks like digging.
Ensure the security of plant, tools, materials, and IT equipment, and use vehicles safely.
Clean bollards and LED units, inspect equipment for deterioration, and perform necessary maintenance to meet safety standards.
Join a 1 in 3 callout rota for emergency repairs to quickly address urgent streetlighting issues, ensuring public safety.
Use a tablet to record inspection findings, create detailed reports, document conditions, and update the maintenance log for streamlined recordkeeping. Why Join Us?
