Key responsibilities include:
1. Maximising Profit:
* Conduct regular sales and operations reviews to identify areas for improvement and drive actions to boost results.
* Foster a culture of excellence in availability and cost control through effective processes.
* Develop strategies to maximise store sales and profit.
* Deliver on all agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Engaging, Developing & Retaining Great People:
* Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing effective talent management strategies.
* Drive team engagement through open communication and recognition of individual contributions.
* Cultivate an inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
* Upskill the team through coaching, training, and development opportunities.
* Manage team performance using continuous feedback and performance evaluation processes.
3. Doing the Right Processes and Doing Them Right:
* Lead by example in maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
* Implement all cash handling and security policies and processes in the store.
* Digital Service:
o Ensure seamless execution of all One Best Way processes in the store.
o Minimise risk to the business by ensuring legal compliance across all areas.
o Implement health and safety policies and processes fully in the store, prioritising team and customer safety.
