SRG are partnering with a leading waste management and recycling company with a strong reputation for supporting the UK chemical industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Mobile Chemist to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chemist with industry experience—especially within the waste sector—who enjoys a hands‑on, site-based role and working closely with customers.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to customers on chemical waste handling and disposal
* Advise on safe packaging, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials
* Conduct site-based risk assessments and ensure compliance with HSE regulations
* Perform waste classification, segregation, and support recycling initiatives
* Carry out liquid transfer and waste handling activities on-site
Qualifications
* Degree (HNC/HND/BSc) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* Minimum 1+ year of industry experience (waste experience preferred)
* Strong knowledge of wet chemistry and analytical techniques
* Good understanding of COSHH, SDS, and health & safety practices
* Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
* Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
