Job Title: B1.3 Licensed Engineer
Job Type: Permanent (14/14 Rotation)
Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
Due to the nature of the role, eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

Matchtech is working alongside a respected and growing helicopter operator based in Scotland, currently recruiting an experienced B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Where You'll Make an Impact
As a B1.3 Licensed Engineer, you'll support both line and base maintenance of a well-maintained rotary fleet.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft readiness, safety, and compliance - working directly with pilots, engineers, and the Chief Engineer to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Aircraft Maintenance & Certification
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with UK CAA regulations. Certify work within your approval scope and maintain accurate documentation at all times.
2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, supporting pre-flight inspections and daily operations.
3. Operational Collaboration
Engage in daily engineering briefings and shift handovers. Liaise with the supply chain and stores teams to manage tooling, materials, and spares.
4. Safety & Compliance
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies and regulatory requirements.
What It Takes to Get Off the Ground
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A valid UK CAA Part-66 B1.3 Licence
* Ideally 5+ years' hands-on experience in rotary maintenance (line and base)
* Strong independent working skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with others
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing operational demands
* Familiarity with aviation IT systems and strong general IT skills
* Full fluency in English (written and verbal)
