Job Summary
You will report to the Engineering Supervisor, Mechanical. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for fixed equipment on large capital projects and will support the Mechanical Integrity program at the Courtright manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
* Actively support and participate in all Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and activities
* Support the planning, organizing and execution of all Mechanical & Civil/Structural work with respect to Engineering design. Within these projects, the Maintenance Engineer will organize, schedule and monitor work with Engineering contractors to ensure that all plant replacements, modifications and additions are performed in strict conformity with design specifications and applicable code requirements
* Support site projects and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, Planning and Engineering internally, in addition to external vendors, consultants and contacts outside the company to achieve effective project execution
* Provide technical support for maintenance and operations through activities such as equipment design and specification, equipment troubleshooting, and equipment inspection and repair
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives related to static equipment reliability
* Participate in and lead small project MOCs (Management of Change) to support Maintenance and Operations, and for plant sustainment projects
* Understand and comply with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts
* Coordinate and effectively communicate with the Project, Process, I/E, and Construction groups within the Engineering Department to promote positive teamwork and enhance project development and execution
* Support and actively participate in the initiatives of Continuous Improvement through teamwork, and the application of Quality Planning and Improvement Principles to the routine performance of duties
Qualifications
* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with P. Eng designation, with minimum 5-10 years of experience related to fixed equipment or maintenance engineering in an industrial plant
* Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts is required
* API 510, API 570 certifications are an asset

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: estimated base pay typically between $121,700.00 and $152,700.00 (actual pay may vary depending on education, experience and other factors). Benefits include competitive compensation, bonus and retirement plans, comprehensive health, dental, vision and well‑being programs.
