Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and friendly rural primary school? Mersham Primary School is seeking a motivated Class Teacher for Year 4 to join our team on a maternity cover basis from the start of term 2 until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 4 pupils
2. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning
3. Assess pupil progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
4. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider curriculum and school initiatives
5. Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support each pupil’s wellbeing and achievement
6. Uphold the school’s ethos and contribute positively to the wider school community
Qualifications and Experience:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, preferably Year 4
8. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils
9. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering good behaviour
10. Experience or willingness to engage in continuous professional development (CPD)

12. Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

14. Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to challenges
