The Property Service provides strategic management of the council's property assets and schools to ensure that they meet the aims of the Council Plan and support service delivery across the county. Role & Responsibilities: We are looking to recruit an experienced property asset manager with an excellent understanding of managing a property portfolio to enable public sector service delivery, to work within the Property Review Team in Property Service at Lancashire County Council. As Property Asset Principal leading the Property Data and Performance Team you will be an outstanding individual who will work as part of the Property Review leadership team, playing a key role in ensuring that Lancashire County Council's land and buildings continue to meet requirements for service delivery during ongoing and significant organisational change and financial challenge. You will be part of, and responsible for leading and managing, a multi- disciplinary team and for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the county council's premises data. The team will undertake and present self-assessment benchmarking of the county council's premises data and present and provide data that will be utilised in the strategic planning of the county council's portfolio. The successful candidate will become involved in a range of premises related issues including estates, financial, premises management, legal and data management. An excellent understanding of the county council's premises data requirements, and the limitations of such data, is required. Adaptable and resilient, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organisational and leadership skills, experience of working in a political environment, and an understanding of the operational requirements of public services. Equally important is an excellent understanding of the interdependencies of premises data across the portfolio, the ability to interpret and connect data provided by others to the requirements of our processes, and the ability to manipulate and present complicated data sets in a way that supports and enables strategic decision making and development. Highly developed critical thinking skills are required, alongside innovative problem solving skills and experience of successfully managing complex issues and requirements. With a proven history of successful team leadership, project delivery within specific timescales, and working as part of a wider team, you will have the ability to both work collaboratively with, and support and challenge, internal and external stakeholders and partners, including a wide range of professionals and senior managers. As well as your strong knowledge and understanding of strategic premises data, its opportunities, limitations, and application, you will be a passionate, driven individual with a record of achieving results against targets. You will have experience of leading, inspiring and engaging individuals towards the achievement of strategic objectives.
