Benridge was our first Care Home and has been open to residents for over 40 years. It has a lovely homely feel and over the years has gained an excellent reputation for one of the best care provisionsfor residents with Dementia.
Benridge is located in an ideal position within Southport on Queens Road; only minutes away from local amenities, Hesketh Park, and a short walk away from the town centre, train station and the famous shopping area of Lord Street and the sea front.
The Role
At Benridge, we are searching for a new Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be offering person-centred care and support to our residents to make sure they feel safe, secure and content.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will:
Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
Be alert to resident’s needs, health and well-being
Ensure clients are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve at all times
Work with residents and families to deliver tailored care to each individual
Assist with mealtimes, ensuring that our clients receive their individual dietary requirements, whilst promoting their independence
Take an active role in identifying the changing needs of our clients and realise the importance of maintaining accurate documentation

The ideal candidate will:
Have experience and knowledge of Dementia, with an understanding of the varying behaviours and how it can affect their every day lives
Be willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care
Have good communication skills and literacy skills
Have strong interpersonal skills
Be a team player
Have the ability to use initiative
Qualifications
None required, but increased rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the care sector is preferred but not essential.
