Join EDF UK as an Auditor (Workforce) and play a crucial role in ensuring contractor compliance at the Hinkley Point C (HPC) site. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of safety and competence, contributing to the success of one of the UK's most important energy projects.

The Opportunity

As an Auditor (Workforce), you will work closely with key individuals across the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and Tier 1 contractors. Your role will involve managing the EAU audit arrangements to ensure internal compliance, specifically in line with Licence Condition 9 and Principal Contractor requirements. You will provide timely reports demonstrating compliance with internal policies, ensuring that the contractor workforce meets the necessary qualifications and competence standards.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary associated with this role is £54,000per annum. You'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. We're talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone's welcome. We're on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We'd like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We're a disability confident employer and we'll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That's why we support you to pursue a career that's unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will drive compliance requirements set out in the Competence and Qualifications (C&Q) matrices across the HPC project, ensuring a competent workforce. You will design, implement, and manage the EAU audit schedules, ensuring transparency and adherence to our requirements by Tier 1 Contract Partners and their supply chain. Your responsibilities will include assessing and confirming that the contractor workforce holds the correct qualifications and competence for all assigned roles.

You will manage and maintain monthly reporting requirements, including analysis of workforce role information and conducting specific audits. Leading compliance audits with contractors, you will ensure adherence to the Employer's Industrial Relations, Employment and Skills Strategy, and provide comprehensive reports and feedback to demonstrate assurance. Additionally, you will manage all audit requests to CEMAR, liaise with NNB's Project Managers for Tier 1 Contracts, and support the Governance & Compliance Lead, Operations Manager, and Head of Employment Affairs Unit.

Who You Are

You are someone who can prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines with quick response times, managing customer expectations effectively. Your advanced Excel knowledge, including the use of formulas, and excellent presentation and report writing skills are essential. You'll possess strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate, challenge, and influence across all levels of the business and supply chain, developing strong relationships.

You thrive under pressure, are a confident decision-maker, and have a proactive style to ensure business continuity and resilience. Your experience includes developing and implementing successful audit programmes within a complex business model, working within significant projects, and undertaking audits from multiple stakeholders. You have demonstrable experience working successfully in multidisciplinary teams and adapting flexibly within a dynamic environment.

Desirable qualifications include experience within the UK regulatory environment, knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, and familiarity with systems and schemes to validate competencies and qualifications.

Closing date for applications is 21st May 2025.
