A well-established family law firm in Blackburn, holding both Resolution and Lexcel accreditation, is expanding its Family Department and seeking a Family Law Solicitor to join their team.
The Role
This full-time position involves managing both privately and publicly funded cases. You will handle a varied caseload, provide high-quality client care, and take matters from instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce and finances
2. Advise clients on funding options and assess financial eligibility
3. Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, and third parties
4. Represent clients in court and conduct advocacy where needed
5. Provide compassionate, clear advice to often vulnerable clients
6. Ensure compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards
Requirements
7. Minimum 1 year PQE
8. Strong knowledge of family law, particularly divorce and financial matters
9. Excellent communication and client care skills
10. Confident working independently and using initiative
11. Experience dealing with sensitive or vulnerable clients
12. Strong time and case management skills
