Warehouse Manager – Chesterfield
5 days on site, 40 hrs per week

Warehouse Manager - Chesterfield
Reporting to the Regional Head of Logistics, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the daily management of our newly acquired 40,000 sq ft warehouse on the outskirts of Chesterfield. Responsibilities include order fulfilment, goods in, put-away, let-down, picking, dispatch, and returns sortation. During the initial phase, operations will run on a single shift, transitioning to a two-shift setup in the long term.
Additional duties include:
* Strategically managing the warehouse in line with CHH’s policies and vision
* Setting up warehouse layout and ensuring efficient space utilization
* Implementing, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures
* Ensuring compliance with all warehousing, handling, and distribution legislation
* Maintaining health and safety, hygiene, and security standards
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Planning work rotas, assigning tasks, and appraising results
Essential skills and attributes
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager with strong knowledge of warehouse KPIs
* Line management experience with a track record of developing team members
* Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
* Leadership skills and ability to manage and develop staff
* IT literacy, especially spreadsheets, and knowledge of warehouse systems
* Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
* Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure or poor quality
* Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to meet targets and deadlines
