Role Overview
Our client is looking for an ambitious Senior or Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Developing detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, chilled water, and specialist systems.
* Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction and commissioning.
* Collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure design integrity.
* Conducting technical reviews, calculations, and system simulations.
* Assisting in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject.
* Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within mission critical sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, and cleanroom design.
* Excellent proficiency in industry standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, IESVE, Hevacomp, etc.
* Excellent project management and communication skills.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (CEng, IMechE or equivalent) is desirable.
