This full-time contract role, starting immediately, is perfect for a teacher who thrives on making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who need the most support. You’ll teach small groups of students who have struggled in mainstream settings, many of whom face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs. Create a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment. Promote positive behaviour using restorative, trauma-informed strategies. Track and assess student progress, adapting approaches as needed. Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals. Contribute to the personal and social development of each pupil. Support EHCP reviews and contribute to school improvement plans. Qualifications and Experience: QTS or relevant teaching qualification (essential). Experience in PRU/SEMH/Alternative Provision settings (desirable). Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A passion for helping students overcome barriers to education. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
