Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs (Liverpool) A dedicated special educational needs (SEN) school in the Liverpool area is seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting primary-aged children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential. Role Overview The successful candidate will: Support small groups of children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Provide personalised assistance tailored to each child’s individual needs. Contribute to the development and delivery of bespoke learning plans. Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals. Participate in ongoing training and professional development. Candidate Requirements Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is desirable. A strong understanding of EHCPs and the challenges faced by children with additional needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
