Overview

The successful candidate for this appointment will join an expanding department of Ophthalmology. This is a substantive post, which will receive CESR training opportunities. The appointee will be joining 21 Consultant Ophthalmologists, 6 Specialty Doctors and 5 Trainees.


Responsibilities

* Work 12 programmed activity (PA) per week, including 8 DCC and 2 SPA split, and 2 PAs to cover on-call commitments.
* Duties other than those clinical duties specified will be in accordance with the Job Plan agreed between the Appointee, the present Consultants and the Chief Executive.
* Contribute to Administration, Teaching and Medical Audit as provided in the Job Plan.
* Participate in audit/appraisal and Continuing Medical Education (CME) as mandatory under clinical governance/GMC guidance.
* Work across Trust sites and across the seven-day period where necessary.
