Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary negotiable depending on experience

Hybrid role - office based (Cardiff) and working in the field

Company Vehicle and Fuel Card provided

Physical Adaptation Solutions Ltd specialise in disability adaptations enabling individuals to live independently in their homes.

We're looking for an experienced multi-skilled bathroom fitter to join our small but growing team in this pivotal dual role.

This role would suit an experienced fitter with natural leadership qualities and capabilities. You will need to be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Outlook and Excel with excellent time management and organisational skills to hit the ground running to help maintain momentum in a critical but exciting growth phase for the business.

We are passionate about providing a professional and quality service to all our customers, so if you're enthusiastic about making a difference to people's lives, then we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

* You'll be actively booking and carrying out surveys at properties in and around South and Mid Wales,
* Liaising with residents and social housing landlords to develop a schedule of work, prepare specifications and provide quotes for tendering in a timely manner,
* Always thinking ahead, juggling resources, and making decisions in real time; knowing our fitters, understanding their work, and applying common sense to achieve dynamic scheduling,
* Building relationships with suppliers and continually seeking effective procurement, pricing and delivery of materials to keep projects on track, and in accordance with legal requirements whilst demonstrating value for money,
* Provide advice to our fitters on specifications and troubleshooting,
* Carrying out repairs whilst out surveying, aiming for a 'one-call' resolution where possible,
* Assisting with technical compliance and project governance,
* Tracking WIP (Work in Progress), job status, SLAs and KPIs
* Forecasting labour availability and assigning repair jobs based on skillset and geographical location,
* Carrying out inspections during and after project completion to ensure quality standards are being met.

Please note – the surveying element of this role is not full time hence it's dual nature. You will be required and expected to carry out repairs varying size and complexity, and up to one full bathroom a month.

About you

Attitude is everything. As a small business we need a team player, someone who is flexible, adaptable and willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes when it comes to the crunch. This is a new role so you'll need positivity, resilience and a good sense of humour. Excellent time management and accountability is critical to be successful in this role.

In addition, you will need:

* Industry experience – bathroom fitting, designing, product knowledge,
* A broader working knowledge of building and construction, ideally with an awareness of legionella and asbestos regulations,
* A valid driver's license,
* Knowledge of SOR/Rate schedules,
* A good level of physical health as you will still be required to work on the tools,
* Good report and specification writing with a good standard of numeracy, literacy and digital skills, particularly MS Office and smart phone use,
* Commercially astute, socially aware and committed to excellent customer service,
* Good project management skills; the ability to think ahead in logical steps and start with the end in sight,
* A keen eye for detail and ability to set and relay quality expectations and uphold standards,
* Great communication and co-ordination skills, able to build relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels.

Please note – the surveying element of this role is not full time hence it's dual nature. You will be required and expected to carry out repairs varying in size and complexity, and up to one full bathroom a month.

If this sounds like the job for you, apply now We'd love to hear a little about you in a short covering letter to accompany and support your CV.
