Electrical Maintenance Engineer Ashby-de-la-Zouch
(LE65 2BS) (Home of Hula Hoops, popchips, Nik Naks, and more…) This role follows a Panama shift pattern (2–2–3) working 12‑hour shifts: 06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00. You’ll work two shifts, have two days off, then work three shifts, followed by the reverse pattern the following week.

About the role In this hands‑on role, you’ll help keep our site running safely and efficiently by delivering both reactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of production and site equipment.
Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you’ll reduce downtime, carry out root cause analysis and help deliver improvements that support performance, reliability and product quality. You’ll also maintain accurate maintenance records, develop and update PPM schedules, and work closely with contractors to ensure safe and compliant ways of working.

What will you be doing? Carrying out hands‑on maintenance and repairs Supporting production by delivering high‑quality mechanical and electrical maintenance
Reducing downtime and driving improvement Using strong fault‑finding and root cause analysis skills to solve issues and prevent repeat failures
Collaborating with production teams and contractors Ensuring safe systems of work and aligned ways of working across the site
Championing safety, quality and standards Helping protect people and product by maintaining high levels of compliance
Developing and maintaining PPM systems Creating schedules, updating records and supporting knowledge‑sharing across teams

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring: A UK‑recognised electrical qualification Minimum Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent, such as HNC) with proven time‑served experience
A background in hands‑on engineering within a manufacturing environment Ideally with experience in food manufacturing
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Able to support colleagues and positively influence outcomes
A collaborative and proactive approach Comfortable working across shifts and driving continuous improvement
Enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to grow Ready to learn, contribute and play an active role in our team’s success
