We are looking for a team leader to join our established nurse-led anticoagulation service in Buckinghamshire. We are a small and friendly team of specialist nurses looking for a new team leader who is knowledgeable and passionate about anticoagulation management and who can deliver strong and compassionate leadership to our service.
The role involves the leadership and management of the nurse-led anticoagulation service in Buckinghamshire. The post holder should have knowledge and experience in managing patients who take both warfarin and DOACs. The role will involve clinical work covering INR clinics across the county using POC testing, as well as triaging referrals for patients with new VTE diagnoses. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Team Leader for the anticoagulation team, as well as the haematology consultants, and the trust VTE prevention lead nurse and will be a representative for the service within the trust.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, experience working at band 6 level, and ideally experience working in haematology or anticoagulation. We have excellent opportunities for professional and personal development.
Main duties of the job
Provide leadership and vision for the Specialist Anticoagulation nursing service in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT). The post holder will provide leadership to the nursing team and contribute to service redesign. Working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to deliver an excellent patient focused service that provides a caring, efficient and highly professional service.
This includes liaising with other specialities, GPs, practice nurses and community nurses regarding the anticoagulation service delivered to patients.

11. NMC Level One Registration – RN Adult, Graduate level qualification in relevant discipline, and willingness to undertake Masters level qualification
