HSQE Advisor

Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure the companys Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies are implemented consistently across the organisation.
Review of HSQE documentation.
Assist in the production health & safety, environmental and quality documentation.
Identifying new and amended safety requirements / legislation.
Assist in the planning and production health & safety, environmental and quality documentation, including construction phase plans, work package plans, task briefings, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, noise assessments and any other pertinent documentation.
Supporting Production Teams to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support.
To promote compliance with all HSQE Systems, QTS Initiatives and requirements.
Provision of health and safety awareness training and briefings.
Dissemination of safety information and Tool Box Talks.
Site inspections, tours, safety conversations - issuing all reports to Line Managers and the Compliance Team/Director.
Conduct Site and Internal Audits.
Attendance of safety, quality or environmental related meetings and site visits with both QTS and Clients.
Undertake and assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents.
Ensuring compliance with QTS Management, Supporting and Works Procedures.
Facilitate and manage the Close Call reporting system investigate high risk close calls as appropriate.
Assist in Occupational Health monitoring and schemes as required.
Monitor HSQE performance through inspection, audits and engagement.
Take an active role presenting workforce engagement & behavioural science engagement sessions.
Skills required:
NEBOSH Certificate
IOSH membership
Quality and Environmental Management Systems experience
Practical experience in railway industry
Sound knowledge of the H&S requirements of legislation, Railway Group and Railway Company standards
Good organisational skills
Comfortable working with Microsoft office packages
Computer literate
Full UK driving licence
