Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Woking | Employment type: Permanent | Salary: £50,000
Responsibilities
* Providing professional H&S support across manufacturing sites, retail locations and field‑based operations, with a particular focus on driving uplift at developing sites.
* Advising, influencing and coaching managers and leaders to embed consistent, compliant and effective health & safety standards.
* Reviewing, developing and improving risk assessments, safe systems of work, policies and procedures, ensuring both compliance and practicality.
* Supporting incident investigation, reporting and performance metrics, with an emphasis on learning, action closure and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
* Proven experience in a hands‑on Health & Safety role across varied operational environments (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, field services or similar).
* Strong communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage frontline teams and present effectively to senior leaders.
* Experience with Legionella management and control (desirable), alongside a proactive, collaborative mindset focused on improvement rather than blame.
