The opportunity: The Policy and Public Affairs Lead will lead their policy and public affairs initiatives in Scotland, shaping evidence-based policy positions and delivering influencing strategies to improve outcomes for patients. Main responsibilities: Develop and maintain policy positions for Scotland, producing high-quality briefings, and reports informed by research and lived experience. Lead public affairs activity to engage decision-makers and stakeholders to achieve policy objectives. Build strong relationships with government, parliamentarians, healthcare professionals, charities, and other partners to advance shared priorities. Provide expert policy advice internally, support campaigns, and represent the organisation in media and external forums. Key skills and experience required: Experience in policy and/or public affairs, with proven success in driving impactful change in Scotland or across the UK. Ability to develop and implement influencing strategies and stakeholder engagement at a national level. Strong skills in using insight, data, and research to shape evidence-based policy positions and materials. In-depth knowledge of the Scottish and/or UK political and legislative landscape.
