Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Services

Salary: £43,600 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our residential team in the Kent area (Sandwich, Deal & Dover). You will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and safeguarding are consistently met.
You will:
* Lead, motivate and support a team of residential support workers
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
* Contribute to the development of care plans and risk assessments
* Promote a positive, safe and nurturing culture for children and staff
* Take part in on-call duties and ensure smooth daily operations
* Build effective relationships with local authorities, families and external agencies
About You
You will be an enthusiastic, proactive and compassionate professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
Essential requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (Residential Pathway) or equivalent
* Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential setting
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and Ofsted frameworks
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between homes when required
