The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Junior Electronics Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working on the design and manufacture of cutting-edge short-range wireless communication systems. You’ll take ownership of projects across the full product lifecycle – from concept through to production – and work on a diverse range of digital and analogue design challenges.
This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in FPGA and programmable logic design, while broadening your skills in system integration, testing, and product support within a high-quality engineering environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering full lifecycle projects, from initial concepts through to production handover.
*
Carrying out detailed system, PCB, and hardware design.
*
Implementing and verifying designs using FPGAs, microcontrollers (PICs), and other programmable logic.
*
Applying analogue design techniques alongside digital systems.
*
Conducting design verification and production testing.
*
Supporting system integration in both laboratory and field environments.
*
Working within ISO9001 quality processes.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
*
Proven experience in digital circuit design with FPGAs, PICs, or other programmable logic.
*
Solid understanding of analogue techniques and circuit design.
*
Competence with CAD tools for programming, circuit layout, and mechanical layout.
*
Organised, methodical, and able to meet deadlines.
*
A proactive team player with the ability to work independently.
Desirable:
*
Eligibility for (or existing) security clearance.
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
Eagerness to develop skills and grow within an expanding organisation.
