The National Tutoring Programme offers highly tailored tuition support for pupils, to help those whose education have been most impacted by the pandemic.
Prospero Teaching are proud to support the National Tutoring Programme and are on the lookout for experienced Secondary Teachers and tutors to help students in the Oldham area.
We are looking to recruit teachers for tuition with the potential to deliver tuition online or face-to-face with group sizes of 1:1 / 1:2 / 1:3 in the following subjects:
1. English
2. Humanities
3. Maths
4. Modern foreign languages
5. Science
Contract/Position details:
6. Location – Oldham
7. Position – NTP Secondary Tutor
8. Start date – Immediate
9. Part time – Flexible Hours
10. £25 per hour
Experience, training, and qualifications:
11. Must hold QTS
12. Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis
13. Proven track record of improving students’ performances
14. Team Teach Qualification highly desirable
15. Access to free training programmes, such as safeguarding
What is expected:
16. The ability to build a rapport and make progress with the student.
17. Regular updates and progress reports provided to the school after every session.
18. Attend meetings relating to the students’ progress.
19. Plan schemes of work to engage the student.
Essential criteria for this role:
20. The Right to Work in the UK
21. Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
22. Provide two professional references
Additional Attributes include:
23. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
24. Exemplary organisation and time management
25. Previous experience of working with students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD)
26. Passion for supporting students to achieve their goals
