What you will do
1. A good level of computer literacy with an aptitude to learn new systems.
2. Ability to interpret and work from vendor manuals, drawing and P&IDs.
3. Fault finding, repair and preventative maintenance of a broad variety of instrumentation
4. An ability to write, review and follow detailed procedures.
5. Work experience on electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
About you
6. A good general education to at least GCSE level. 5 GCSEs should be of grades A-C and must include English, Maths and Science.
7. Instrument apprenticeship or Instrument related qualification
8. Prior experience working as Instrument Technician within the Petrochemical industry preferable
9. Commitment to high standards in safety and quality of work
10. Driven, motivated & committed to ownership and completing tasks
11. The ability to communicate well verbally and via IT-based systems
12. Active participation in meetings and able to offer technical solutions to problems while prioritising work
13. Able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment while making decisions focused on safety, reliability & performance of the business.
14. A flexible attitude to the job and the ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities
Maintenance experience on at least some of the following
15. distributed control systems
16. good knowledge of process measuring instrumentation (temp, pressure, level, flow)
17. pneumatic and electronic cells / controllers / switches
18. pneumatic and electronic relay logic
19. pneumatic and electronic valve positioners
20. hydraulic control systems
21. following online and offline test procedures
