We are currently seeking a SEND Care Assistant to join our excellent supply team and work within SEND schools across Longbenton and the wider North Tyneside area. We partner with a range of specialist settings, allowing us to match you with schools that suit your experience, strengths, and interests.
As a SEND Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to pupils with a variety of special educational needs. This may include assisting with personal care, supporting communication needs, helping pupils regulate emotions, and promoting independence throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and confident working with children and young people who require additional support. A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service is essential.
The Ideal SEND Care Assistant Will Have:
1. Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
2. Confidence assisting with personal care and daily routines
3. A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach
4. Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow individual care plans
5. Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
6. Resilience and determination when supporting pupils with complex needs
