Job Opportunity: Group Financial Accountant role Location: Aylesbury with travel to other sites as needed

Are you a technically strong, qualified accountant with a passion for statutory reporting and group consolidations? We’re looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our central finance team and lead the preparation of our group annual report, accounts, and disclosures.
About the RoleThis is a pivotal role responsible for managing the group consolidation process and leading the external audit of group accounts. You’ll play a key part in acquisition accounting, fair value exercises, and ensuringpliance with evolving accounting standards. You’ll also provide expert technical guidance across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead statutory accounting and reporting for consolidated group accounts
2. Manage acquisition accounting and fair value exercises
3. Prepare technical papers on accounting issues ( impairment, dilapidations)
4. Produce consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes
5. Act as finance lead for external audit of group schedules
6. Ensurepliance with Charity Accounting Standards (FRS102)
7. Provide technical accounting advice and support across the group
8. Oversee group Corporation Tax accounting and returns
9. Drive improvements in reporting and audit processes
10. Support financial accounting activities across grouppanies
About YouEssential Qualifications & Experience:
11. Degree-level education
12. Full or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
13. Extensive experience in group consolidations
14. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS102
15. Proven experience in statutory reporting, acquisition accounting, and external audits
16. Ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders
