Simulation Engineer
Location: On-site (London office)
Type: Full-time
We’re looking for a Simulation Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced, physics-based and data-driven models that power autonomous manufacturing technologies.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your Software and analytical skills to real-world manufacturing challenges, working alongside experts in Engineering, production, and machining.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop parameterisable, physically based models using first-principles approaches.
* Build and refine data-driven models when physical models are not applicable.
* Design and analyse experiments to gain fundamental understanding of machining processes.
* Apply multi-objective optimisation techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
* Identify and investigate correlations and causal relationships in production data.
* Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and product teams to translate model insights into tangible improvements.
About You
* MEng or PhD in Engineering or a related discipline (2:1 or above).
* An understanding of engineering physics, materials, and modelling principles.
* Experience developing and testing simulation models using Python (knowledge of Matlab, Julia, Rust, or C++ is a plus).
* Comfortable designing experiments, analysing results, and communicating findings clearly.
* Curious, methodical, and motivated to apply scientific thinking to complex manufacturing problems.
* Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
What We Offer
* The chance to contribute to cutting-edge autonomous manufacturing technology.
* Hands-on experience in both modelling and practical experimentation.
* Collaboration with a world-class team of engineers, researchers, and machinists.
• A supportive environment that values curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement.
