About this role
We are seeking a Senior Project Geophysicist to lead the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of geophysical projects. This involves validation of contractor deliverables, geophysical interpretation of seabed and sub-seabed data, and integration of geophysical, geological, and geotechnical data.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in seabed and sub-seabed interpretation, geophysical workstation workflows, and integration with geotechnical and geological datasets. Experience using IHS Kingdom, Petrel, OpendTect, or DUG, as well as software such as Sonarwiz, QGIS or ArcGIS, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
* Conduct and oversee geophysical interpretation, reporting, and ground model development.
* Write and review technical and operational documents such as Desk Studies, hazard assessments, and survey specifications.
* Supervise and mentor junior geophysicists, supporting their development.
* Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, and offshore as a Client Representative.
* Contribute to technical tool development, best practice initiatives, and R&D projects.
Requirements
* A degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science.
* At least 5 years' experience in the offshore renewables or oil & gas industry.
* Experience leading or managing the delivery of geophysical services and ground modelling studies.
* Expertise in seabed and sub-seabed interpretation, geophysical workstation workflows, and integration with geotechnical and geological datasets.
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards for geophysical survey methods.
