Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a growing business who are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Driffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive environment, working closely with a knowledgeable Finance Manager and gaining hands-on experience in core month-end processes.
🧾 What you’ll be doing:
* Assisting with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies
* Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reports
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
* Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data
* Supporting ad hoc finance projects and audits as required
✅ What we’re looking for:
* Experience in a similar finance role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant)
* AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (preferred but not essential)
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
* A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
