National Grid is hiring a Senior Engineer for our NE Gas Engineering Design department in Waltham, MA.
Our Team
The NE Gas Engineering Pressure Regulation Design team is responsible for the design of standard and complex natural gas projects. We support the engineering and design on pressure regulation projects.
What You\'ll Do
* Completely size and design large commercial and industrial 5 meter fits0 (including gas metering and large service regulators)
* Coordinate with project sponsor and gas sales to obtain all design critical information ensuring a complete and satisfactory design package
* Provide gas engineering and design on pressure regulation projects, develop project scopes and progress internal design and engineering on a range of small- and large-scale projects
* Provide direct oversight, supervision and review of design drawings where work is being completed by our external consultants
About You
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical Engineering required
* 5+ years’ engineering experience required could include coops, internships
* Basic knowledge of control valves, industrial regulator valves and meters required
* EIT or PE preferred
* Proven experience progress and move projects forward when data and information is incomplete
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal management direction for all projects and groups of projects
* Valid driver\'s license required

Salary
$122,000 - $143,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
