OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Working Hours & Shift Pattern:
Working part or full time on a rotating shift pattern that varies with the needs of the business. Shifts will cover a 24-hour period, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Working weekends, bank holidays, and holiday periods will be required as needed.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Primarily to deliver safe, efficient, and effective bus transportation of airport & airline passengers (ground staff, crew members, and other client groups) between designated transfer points. The job is performed in buses that do not require a PCV license. There may also be a need to perform other driving duties, including but not limited to high lifts, minibuses, and PRM vehicles. Full training will be provided for all vehicles. The role is mainly airside, but flexibility to work in other areas as needed is required. This role offers a regular routine with some variations.
We are embracing technological innovations, including automation for tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring. Drivers will be required to use an automated job allocation and recording system, with full training provided.
Person Specification: Essential
* A full UK driving license with no more than three points, with regular reports for inspection.
* Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
* The ability to pass and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving permit, including competency checks. This requires a full 5-year work history, the right to work in the UK, and a DBS check.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people.
* A positive, proactive 'can-do' attitude.
* Flexibility to work in different locations, sometimes on short notice.
* Willingness to work in different departments within ABM.
* Availability to work additional shifts as needed for demand and coverage, with local catchment area being advantageous.

* Knowledge & Experience: Trained to drive the airside bus fleet; PCV training may be required.

* Safety First: Prioritizing safety for yourself and passengers, monitoring practices, and addressing unsafe behaviors appropriately.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Adhere to group and company policies and procedures.
* Report system or equipment deficiencies that could affect safety or service.
* Use work equipment and PPE properly, following training.
* Report issues or training needs to your manager or through incident reporting systems.
