Teacher of Music, Deans Community High School, 35 hours per week, Fixed Term until 9th August 2026, Closing Date 16th June 2025.

Deans Community High School is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic classroom teacher. The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve it. This is a key role during an exciting and challenging time for education.
Deans Community High School is a six-year non-denominational comprehensive school offering a progressive, relevant, and challenging curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We are committed to engaging students in their learning and providing a high-quality educational experience for all. The current student roll is around 1000 pupils.
Our curriculum is wide and varied, emphasizing success in attainment and valuing achievements in music, art, sport, technology, dance, drama, enterprise, and interpersonal skills. The school features outstanding facilities, including a theatre, swimming pool, dance studio, and music suite. Students are encouraged to utilize these through our curriculum and extracurricular activities.

This position is classified as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment, with costs covered by the candidate. The full PVG Scheme membership fee is £59; existing members pay £18.
