Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The role will involve working on challenging projects with a diverse group of professionals and contributing to the success of innovative initiatives.
Work Arrangement
Full‑time, Hybrid: Must be on site 3 days a week at London Road, Surrey, RH1 1NA, and may work up to 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure solutions using AWS native services.
* Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
* Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to guarantee uptime.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and improve best‑practice adoption.
* Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
* Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS).
* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
* Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
* Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or AWS CodePipeline.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills; capable of working independently or in a team.
* AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, OOP and design patterns.
* Proficiency in Python for automation and tool development.
* Experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
* Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks.
* Ability to produce clean, maintainable code.
* Experience with code‑review processes and tools.
* Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
* Knowledge of security best practices in development and deployment.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools for performance and reliability.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Must Have
* Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Foundational IT Infrastructure, Operating Systems and Software.
