Job Description

We are working with a highly regarded global alternative investment platform with a strong presence in credit and special situations. The business invests across both liquid and illiquid markets and is known for its disciplined, value-oriented approach to complex opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional to join the London team in a broad and varied middle office role. The position will suit someone who enjoys being close to the trading desk, takes ownership of day-to-day operational processes, and is comfortable working across a wide range of asset classes and trade lifecycle events.

You will play an important part in supporting post-trade activity across cash, positions, collateral and trade breaks, while also assisting with private investment processes, trustee reporting and portfolio maintenance. The role will work closely with traders, portfolio managers and other internal stakeholders, so strong communication and a collaborative mindset will be essential.

What you’ll be doing:

* Managing core middle office and post-trade processes across multiple asset classes.
* Ensuring accuracy across trade capture, positions, cash movements and collateral.
* Supporting private investment activity, portfolio updates and trustee reporting.
* Acting as a key operational contact for the trading desk and wider business.
* Helping to resolve issues efficiently and escalating where appropriate.
* Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency across the team.

What they are looking for:

* Around 2-5 years’ experience in fund operations, middle office or investment operations.
* Background gained either at a hedge fund, investment manager, or within a relevant investment bank function.
* Broad knowledge of securities and asset classes, with an deep understanding of lifecycle events.
* A detail-focused and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
* Confident communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
