Overview
We are looking to recruit two friendly, professional Nursing Assistants to work as part of a Roving Nursing Assistant Team under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the delivery of NHS Health checks for patients registered at Northumbria Primary Care Practices.
The successful candidates will work organisation wide. Travel will be expected across all NPC sites; NPC Northumbria Way, NPC Cramlington, NPC Elsdon Avenue, NPC Morpeth, NPC Lynemouth, NPC Lintonville, NPC Ponteland, NPC Haydon Bridge and Allendale, NPC Amble and Broomhill, NPC Widdrington, NPC Rothbury, NPC North Tyneside (Whitley Bay and North Shields practices).
The appointees will have a base site at Northumbria Way in which mileage can be claimed over and above travel from home to base site. The successful candidate will be providing a high level of patient care to patients of NPC practices.

Responsibilities
* To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
* To assist in the delivery of NHS Health Checks across the group
* To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team
* To maintain high clinical standards
* To help maintain a clean and safe environment
* To assist the practice team in the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of care as appropriate
* To assist in the delivery of NHS Health Checks across the group
* To report accurately perceived changes in a patient manner, observations etc
* To promote health within the practice setting
* To prepare clinical areas for procedures
* Provide appropriate delegated clinical care appropriate to area of work: Conduct ECGs; Perform Phlebotomy service; Non complex dressings; Conduct some scans/investigations in a protocolised fashion
About Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC)
Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is a pioneering partnership with local GP's and now manages several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
Whilst appointees will have a base practice in NPC, a requirement of the role is to work at other practices across our group based on the service need.
