Job Description:

Our client, an innovative and growing organisation, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead their growth strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by expanding their client base and strengthening their market presence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building long-term partnerships. You will be proactive in identifying opportunities and closing deals that align with the company's vision and goals.


Key Responsibilities:

* Market Research and Opportunity Identification:
o Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, partners, and new business opportunities.
o Analyse market trends, competition, and customer needs to develop targeted sales strategies.
o Keep up-to-date with industry developments and use insights to shape business growth initiatives.
* Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
o Generate leads and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.
o Manage a pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely follow-up and continuous engagement with potential clients.
* Strategic Partnerships:
o Identify and secure strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s market positioning and service offering.
o Work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences and meet partnership objectives.
o Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
* Sales Strategy and Performance:
o Develop and implement a business development strategy that drives revenue and market expansion.
o Set and track sales goals, regularly reviewing performance against targets and adjusting strategies as needed.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with marketing campaigns and events.
* Networking and Brand Awareness:
o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
o Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company’s services and values in all client and partner interactions.
* Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights into pipeline progress, deal status, and revenue projections.
o Use CRM systems to track and manage leads, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date reporting.


Qualifications:

* Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (minimum 3-5 years).
* Strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing business revenue.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions that drive business growth.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.


Desirable:

* Experience in the Sustainability and ESG sector.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to develop innovative sales approaches.
