Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support Assistant

Role Overview
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to provide person-centred support to children with complex needs and challenging behaviours related to learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and mental health issues. Your responsibilities will include supporting children and young people who require 1:1 assistance for various reasons, such as:
* Children in Looked After Care
* Children experiencing anxiety
* Children at risk of exclusion
* Children with speech and language difficulties
* Children with physical and mental health issues, disabilities, or learning difficulties
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with children and young people exhibiting challenging behaviour
* De-escalation training (advantageous)
* Background in youth work or similar roles considered
* Confidence in decision-making
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
* Empathy and understanding
* Willingness to pursue professional development and training

* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional child-related references from the last two years
