Location: Salford / Birmingham / Gerrards Cross / Speke
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility available!
Your Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in our MEICA team, focusing on the mechanical aspects of complex infrastructure projects, such as water and wastewater systems. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading mechanical design as part of an integrated solution for industrial and process clients
* Preparing and agreeing on mechanical design requirements with clients, ensuring clarity and understanding
* Conducting feasibility studies and producing detailed mechanical designs for pumping stations and treatment works
* Ensuring compliance with UK water industry standards and client specifications
* Supporting HAZOP, HAZCOM, and constructability reviews, collaborating with civil, electrical, and process engineers
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer with membership in a relevant professional body (IET or IMechE)
* Have extensive experience in the water, wastewater, or process-related industries, including hydraulic design
* Possess detailed knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements
* Can thrive under pressure and make critical decisions
* Meet the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
