As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee engineering projects, ensure compliance with industry standards, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. This key leadership position requires balancing commercial objectives with engineering integrity while delivering high-quality solutions.
In this Head of Engineering role, your key responsibilities will involve:
Defining and implementing the engineering strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Leading, mentoring, and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure high performance.
Overseeing engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality.
Driving innovation in engineering methodologies and managing budgets and resource allocation efficiently.
Proactively engaging with Project Delivery Managers, acting as Design Authority, and ensuring design quality and best practices.
To be successful in this Head of Engineering position, you will need a robust engineering background and proven leadership capabilities. We are looking for candidates with:
~7+ years' experience in the offshore industry, with a focus on structural and mechanical design.
~ Proven project management experience within a design team and experience mentoring engineers.
~ Strong IT skills (including AutoCAD/Solidworks, Mathcad/Ansys) and excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
~ High-level design and analytical skills, with a desire to research and challenge existing methods.
~ The ability to work independently at a high intensity, produce high-calibre work, and contribute innovative ideas.
