The School of Employability at South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to take responsibility for high quality delivery of student learning and assessment for the ACCA qualification to adult students on professional programmes, maintaining high standards of learning and teaching to meet the expectations of the College, student cohorts and the awarding bodies.
Where required, you will be a Course Leader for a cohort of students within the curriculum area with responsibilities for managing individual student progress including attendance and punctuality and contribution to compliance with the quality assurance cycle for the college to assure learner success.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to have a successful record of teaching ACCA and of continuing professional practice to ensure professional competence. You will hold a degree or post-graduate degree in Accounting and Finance and be an ACCA Qualified Member. With working knowledge from an accounting background, you will meet the standards specified by ACCA to teach on ACCA qualifications (Approval from ACCA is required).
With excellent IT skills, particularly in accounting related software e.g. Sage, Excel Spreadsheets, you will be able to work under strict deadlines. You will be a strong communicator, able to communicate effectively at all levels and use initiative, organise and prioritise.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
